ABOUT THE COMIC

Mocktopus is an interspace comicbomb designed to delight and terrify. New comics are uploaded every weekday Tuesdays and Thursdays whenever, man. It does not really have a “premise” but sometimes people or places or things reappear, as though by some dark sorcery. Here are some characters you may encounter during your Mocktopus Experience:

mm mmmmMe (”Max Huffman”)

Sometimes I, Max Huffman, appear in a comic. This is a common webcomic phenomenon, known as “self-insertion”, or “narcissism”. Sometimes I am accosted by a cruel robot. Sometimes I have friends that I talk to. One of these things is fiction.

what a sad little boySadboy

Sadboy is a small child whose life is endless misery, and people are amused by it. Mel Brooks once said “Tragedy is when you cut your finger, comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die” but Sadboy did that second thing once and people still laughed.

facepuncherFacepuncher

Facepuncher is a police detective who has a giant fist that he occasionally uses to punch faces, in the face. It is a metaphor about the potential for authority to abuse its power. Yeah, that’s it.

emoactionheroEmo Action Hero

Emo Action Hero is a teenage “emo” fan who is also a secret agent of some sort or something? Seriously though “emos” are so played out at this point, they are not even a thing that exist anymore I don’t think. I am dating myself with this one and that is a pretty ridiculous concept in itself.

pimpslothPimp Sloth

Pimp Sloth and his partner Penguin are a rapper-producer duo that are also a sloth and a penguin. Look, I don’t know. They were created on a dare, or something.

Alan Moore (born 18 November 1953) is an English writer primarily known for his work in comic books, a medium where he has produced a number of critically acclaimed and popular series, including Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and From Hell.
